Women’s empowerment for abortion and family planning decision making among marginalized women in Nepal: a mixed method study

Abstract Background Women’s empowerment is multidimensional. education, employment, income, reproductive healthcare decision making, household level making and social status are vital for women’s empowerment. Nepal committed to achieving women gender equality, which directly affects the health issues. This can be achieved by addressing issues of poor marginalized communities. In this context, we aimed find association with abortion family planning among in Nepal. Methods A cross sectional study was conducted at selected municipalities Morang district from February 2017 March 2018. mixed method approach used, where 316 married age (15–49 years) 15 key informant interviews representative providers local leaders were taken. From informants, data analysed using thematic framework method. Findings obtained two separate analyses drawn together meta inferences made. Results above average, 50.6%.
